Don E. Detmer, MD, MA, is President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Medical Informatics Association. He is also Professor Emeritus and Professor of Medical Education in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Virginia, and Senior Associate of the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He is Co-chair of the Blue Ridge Academic Health Group and chairman of MedBiquitous. He is a lifetime Associate of the National Academies, and a fellow of AAAS, American College of Medical Informatics, ACS, and ACSM (emeritus). Dr. Detmer's research interests include contributions to national health information policy, quality improvement, administrative medicine, vascular surgery, sports medicine, and master's level educational program for clinician-executives. |
